Funding eligibility

Is your organization eligible?

Review the organization, location and project requirements before preparing an application.

Eligible organizations

An organization may receive Bear Claw CDC funding when its activities fall within the permitted purposes in policy and it is generally charitable or non-profit and community-purposed. The proposed activity should create a clear community benefit.

Participating communities

Applications are open to eligible organizations serving the immediate communities of:

  • White Bear First Nations
  • kakisiwew-ochapowace Nation
  • Town of Carlyle
  • Village of Manor
  • Village of Kenosee Lake
  • R.M. of Moose Mountain No. 63

Economic development

Local opportunity and sustainable growth.

Social development

Stronger supports and community connection.

Justice initiatives

Preventative and restorative approaches.

Education development

Learning opportunities across generations.

Recreation

Facility operation and development.

Seniors & youth

Programs that help people thrive.

Cultural development

Culture, identity and shared understanding.

Community infrastructure

Development and maintenance.

Health initiatives

Early intervention and prevention.

Other charitable purposes

Including fire, natural disaster and medical emergencies.

No duplicate Community Initiatives Fund support.
Bear Claw CDC will not provide duplicate funding for projects, programs or community events sponsored by the Community Initiatives Fund.
